Adventurecast

Adventurecast is a weekly Livestream and episodic show where the hosts play through an RPG or TTRPG system whilst adding colorful commentary and insights on the current system and culture as a whole.

The group consists of Avalon Bros founders Aston (Mykal K Grymm) & Apollo along with veteran guild brother Johnny Apachee along with rotating guests both in studio and online from Veda in sleepy Linz to E Rock our Nordic correspondent.

One of the key goals of our show is to provide entertaining content while bridging the gap between normies and nerds with the hopes of undoing the decade of damage done by Big Bang Theory and other cringe worthy content. We want to ease entry into our favorite hobbies and pass times without the irritating internal jokes or try hard attitudes commonly practiced by many in the content sphere. In the last decades we have witnessed RPGs make stellar strides and record braking sales only for it to all be looking grimmer than a Jerry Springer green room today. We believe that the industry grew too fast and too many content creators did more to carry on the stigma of our hobby. We want to help change the impression of rpg players and nerds in general but provide an example of cool down to earth dudes so that the majority of normies can maybe see themselves in us and feel more comfortable entering the space.

We therefore invite any interested folks to subscribe and join our server to be a part of the journey. You will be able to leave your thoughts in the chat and VIPs get to listen to the wrap prior to the completed season being uploaded. In the wrap session we will do some light Q & A along with tackling a topic/theme that may or may not be relevant to the events that unfolded in the current session.

The Party

Astonius Salonas (Human Ranger)

Lovable a##hole and leader of the party. Astonius was given command of this small group after increased raids and orc activity in his home province of Dalmos. Charged with seeking what could be the cause for these troubles and terrors the captain must venture towards the small quiet town of Hommlet. Astonius is not one to mince words and prefers

Talon Salonas (Assimar Warmage)

This unit prefers blades to bickering and broads over broadswords. Talon learned his lethal magical skills while attending the Salonas military academy where his affinity for blowing up barrels lead him to be recruited top of his class. His mouth has lead him to burn every bridge he has crossed except for the one with his twin brother and leader of his team. Only interested in power and pu$$y and prone to rants of legendary military conquests best avoid brushing against him in a tavern.

Johnny Epoch (Human Cleric)

Jolly and jovial Johnny was recruited by Lobos Salonas, naval officer and once war cleric or Dalmas Leopards. Johnny always was good with a hammer or axe but his compassion and no nonsense attitude lent themselves the calling of being a cleric. Boasting a rich resume of rendering cemeteries of the undead into chew toys for dogs he was transferred to the guild of Lost Travelers a group created to operate outside of Dalmas territory and oversight with his explicit mission to aid his brothers and eradicate evil where he finds it. He is designated also to report back to Dio’s Castle of his findings.

El Jay aka Colin Steele (Human Fighter)

This dead pan death dealer and sword for hire was recruited by Astonius a few days prior to receiving his orders for Hommlet. El Jay was evading patrols from the Chetrin Guard a group of mercenaries operating in the tri-provincial area by the warrants of their corrupt sheriff’s and lords. With a war roaring in the east and him being bored of the battlefield meeting Astonius at the hunter festival was fortuitous for our traveler as he had missed the last caravan to Elmshire and needs the funds and the excitement of adventure or he fears he might go on a rampage. He specialized in the glaive an uncommon weapon but served him well as an elite guard for princes and Al-Qadim traders.
